Each one has a triangular back panel of etched glass, with a half-shell diffuser in the same glass held in a black metal rim. The etching gives the glass a faint green shimmer at the edges. When lit, the panel throws light up the wall while the shell softens it below. The flat triangle against the rounded shell is typical of Italian postmodern lighting of the period.

The pair would sit well either side of a bed or a mirror, or flanking a doorway or a hallway.

Origin: Italy
Sourced in: Parma
Era: c.1980s
Manufacturer: Lamperti
Materials: Etched glass, black enamelled metal, white painted metal wall bracket
Dimensions: W 30 × H 25 × D 12 cm, each
Attribution: Documented model ("Illo")
Condition: Good vintage condition, with wear consistent with age.
