Fragments of orange and yellow glass are fused into a mottled body, and the colour is drawn up into a swirl at the neck. Three millefiori murrine are set into the surface. These are slices of patterned glass cane, each showing a star motif in white, blue and red. The whole piece is cased in thick clear glass, which is deepest at the base and gives it a solid, paperweight-like weight.
