Virtual Consultations
Every consultation draws on three areas of focused expertise:
1. Colour Choice
Undertones, light direction, paint selection, and building palettes that flow between rooms.
I work with Australian paint ranges (Dulux, Haymes, Porter’s) and understand how Melbourne’s specific light conditions affect colour. I will help you see the colours in context.
2. Room Refresh
Not every room needs a renovation. Sometimes it needs editing, rearranging, or a change in the balance of materials and textures. I’ll help you identify what’s working, what isn’t, and what to do about it — often without buying much at all.
3. Vintage Integration
I source Italian vintage furniture three times a year and have been dealing in antiques since 2024. I know how to mix periods and how to assess quality. If you’ve bought (or inherited) something you love but can’t figure out how to style, this is for you.

30 Minutes — Quick Consult — $150
One room, questions or in need of a clear direction.
Ideal when you’re stuck on a specific decision and need a professional eye. That might be wall colour, a furniture layout or part of a room that doesn't feel right. Just send me 5 photos beforehand, then we talk it through live, and I will follow up with a short email summarising my recommendations.

60 Minutes — Room Refresh — $280
A focused session to rethink a single room from concept to plan.
For rooms that aren’t working but don’t need a full redesign. Maybe you’ve just moved and the furniture doesn’t suit the new space, or you want a role to evolve from its current purpose. It could also be you just want a change! We’ll cover colour, layout, furniture, lighting, and how to layer textures. I’ll follow up with specific product suggestions and next steps.

- 60-minute live Zoom consultation
- Detailed follow-up email with product suggestions, colour references, and next steps
- One follow-up question via email within 7 days
90 Minutes — Design Deep-Dive — $450
A comprehensive session for multi-room schemes or complex design challenges.
For people tackling a whole-floor colour flow, planning a renovation’s aesthetic direction before the builder starts, or wanting to create a collected, layered home with vintage pieces throughout. This is the most comprehensive virtual session I offer — and for some clients, it’s the starting point for a full project conversation.

- Pre-session questionnaire, walkthrough video, or up to 15 photos
- 90-minute live Zoom consultation
- Comprehensive follow-up document with room-by-room notes
- Colour references, product suggestions, and sourcing ideas
- Two follow-up questions via email within 14 days
- 15% off any vintage piece from the Buson collection within 30 days
HOW IT WORKS
1. Contact me at info@buson.com.au to learn more or book your session.
2. I will send you a link to complete payment online.
3. Complete the pre-session questionnaire I’ll send you. Take photos (or a short video walkthrough for the 90-minute session). Tell me what’s bothering you about your space and what you’re hoping to achieve.
4. We meet on Zoom. I’ll have reviewed your questionnaire and photos beforehand, so we can dive straight into solutions. Bring your questions — the more specific, the better.
5. Within 48 hours, you’ll receive a follow-up email (or document, for 90-minute sessions) summarising everything we discussed, with actionable next steps, colour references, and product suggestions where relevant.
FAQs
Do I need to be in Melbourne?
No. Everything happens over Zoom. I’ve worked with clients across Australia and internationally. As long as you can show me your space via photos or video, location doesn’t matter.
What if I’m not sure which session to book?
Start with 30 minutes. If we need more time, I’ll let you know during the session and you can upgrade to a longer format. I’d rather you start small and feel confident than overcommit.
Can I use the consultation to discuss a renovation?
Absolutely. The 90-minute session is specifically designed for pre-renovation aesthetic direction. If the project grows beyond what a single session can cover, we can discuss my full design service.
What do I need to prepare?
Just the questionnaire and photos. I’ll guide you on what to photograph. The better the photos, the more useful the session.
Do you provide mood boards or floor plans?
Virtual consultations are verbal advice sessions with written follow-up. If booking a room refresh or a design deep dive, I will produce a room plan as shown above to bring those ideas to life.
I don’t produce floor plans in this format. If you would specifically like a floor plan please let me know and we can incorporate this into the consult.
