Design information
Alessandro Pianon (1931-1964) was a visionary architect and designer who studied at the University of Venice before beginning his collaboration with Vistosi in 1956. In 1962, he established his own design studio, creating innovative lighting and decorative objects for manufacturers including Vistosi, Lumenform, and Candle. Though his career was tragically cut short by his early death, Pianon’s work remains highly collectible today, particularly his whimsical glass birds and his sophisticated lighting designs that exemplify the creative experimentation of the Italian glass movement during the 1960s.
