A cylinder of Carrara marble, a brushed brass collar, a single taper candle. Nothing more required.

This marble was not made for a candlestick. It was quarried above Carrara and spent the better part of sixty years as part of a sculptural fountain in northern Italy. We sourced it, reclaimed it, and turned it into this. The nicks and chips you’ll find on each piece have not been polished out — they are sixty years of a previous life, and they belong there.

The base is solid and properly heavy. The grey veining runs through each piece differently; no two are alike. The brushed brass collar holds a standard taper candle without fuss.
