The Blue Drop
A teardrop vase in deep blue sommerso glass, the colour cased within a thick clear layer that pools heavily at the base and catches the light. A clean, simple ovoid form with a small round opening — a single-stem vase or a solid, weighty object in its own right. Mid-century European art glass, c.1960s–70s.
Unsigned. The cool colour and plain form sit between the Murano and Scandinavian traditions, so it is offered as European art glass rather than attributed to one house.
