Municipio
The Municipio bookend is hand-cut from reclaimed Italian travertine — stone that spent four decades inside a town hall in Northern Italy before finding its way here. We named it after the building it came from.
An Italian artisan cuts each piece by hand in small batches, working with three varieties of travertine salvaged from the same source: the pale, hole-formed beauty of Travertino Romano Chiaro; the creamier, increasingly rare Travertino Romano Classico; and the darkest of the three, Travertino Toscano Scuro, used sparingly to anchor the construction.
