A decorative amphora-form vessel hand-built from coiled split rattan (the "pencil reed" technique associated with Italian midcentury work). It has a tapered urn body, a flared ringed foot, a domed lid finished with a turned knob, and a single arched bound-cane handle. The reed has aged to a warm honey tone. Attributed to Vivai del Sud. 

Good vintage condition. Honey patina throughout, with minor surface marks and slight darkening to some of the reeds consistent with age and use. Structurally sound. Lid present.
