Stage 0: Initial consultation
Louise visits your property to conduct a brief audit—studying the architectural bones, the behaviour of natural light, and the flow of your rooms. We will discuss your needs and aspirations, and outline the best path forward.

Stage 1: Design discovery and audit
Most design projects fail in the final 10% because they weren't sufficiently researched in the first 10%. We focus our energy on this early research to ensure our visions are perfectly aligned before the build begins.
During this stage, we look into the history of your property, undertake a deep dive into your lifestyle, and define a clear look and feel for the project. While this may feel like an extra step, it does not lengthen the project. By resolving the core direction now, we save significant time later, preventing the indecision that often causes delays on-site.
This ensures you are inspired by the direction before you commit to the full journey, and allows us to provide a much more realistic estimate for the full project.
Stage 2: Survey and extend concept design
At this stage, we conduct a full survey of the property. We roll the agreed look and feel through the home, identifying key feature areas and conducting space planning to best use the footprint available to us. Because of the thorough research undertaken in Stage 1, this phase is vastly more efficient and focused.
Stage 3: Design development
Here, we complete the finer details of the decorative design. We pull everything together into a home manual, which clarifies the finishes for every area and finalises the selection of furniture, furnishings, and accessories.
Stage 4: Technical design
If your project requires detailed joinery drawings for custom furniture or complex architectural changes, we undertake a technical design stage. We will clarify if this is necessary during our initial discovery in Stage 1.
Stage 5: Construction and installation
Competitive quotes for materials and services are managed, delivery and pick-up schedules are coordinated, and all decorating and installation are overseen to ensure a smooth process.
We often begin the procurement of pieces with long lead times earlier in the project to ensure a seamless finish.
