Before you buy a single thing, an hour with someone whose whole job is knowing what to do with a room. That's Steer — and it's where most people start.

Maybe it's the kick-off to doing the whole room properly. Maybe there's just one thing that's been nagging at you for a year: a layout that won't sit right, a corner you can't solve, a colour you can't commit to. Either way, you send me a few photos and the measurements first, and we spend the hour talking it through — what's working, what isn't, and what I'd actually do first, in what order.

You don't leave with a vague "nice chat." I write up the advice, the things we agreed, and links to any pieces or suppliers we talked about. Often that's genuinely all a room needs — someone to tell you the two moves that'll make the difference, so you stop second-guessing and get on with it.

How it works

1. You book, and send me the room. A few photos and the measurements — I'll tell you exactly what I need, it's simpler than it sounds — plus a line or two on what's bothering you and the feeling you're after.

2. We get on a call. One room, my full attention, thinking it out loud together. Ask me anything; this is where the room starts to come clear.

3. You get it in writing afterwards with the key moves and links to anything we mentioned.

It comes off what you do next

Whatever you spend on Steer comes straight off a design package — Direction or Scheme — if you carry on within the month, and off anything you buy from the collection or have me find for you. So if this turns into the whole room, the first step effectively costs you nothing.
