A few times a year I'm in Italy — markets, dealers I've bought from for years, the odd auction — buying for the shop and for clients who've asked me to keep an eye out.

If there's a particular thing you're after, I'll hunt for it the way I would for myself.

How it works

Tell me what you're after, as specific or as loose as you like — "a 1960s Murano piece in amber, about this big", or just "something for this corner". I take a small deposit to begin the search, which comes off the final fee. Then I look. When I find the right thing, I send it to you before anything's agreed, with what it costs and what it will take to get it to you.

However it reaches you — a piece from my own collection, or one I track down just for you — you'll always know the full cost before anything's agreed: the piece, and shipping to your door. 

It's slower than ordering. That's rather the point. The things worth having usually are.
