Space Age Murano

A 1970s Italian pendant in hand-blown Murano glass, the lobed spherical shade formed of clear glass with deep burgundy stripes pulled through the body during the blow — a pattern that shifts and deepens with the light and viewing angle. The glass is thick and weighty, with the optical complexity only hand-blown Murano production achieves. The brushed aluminium collar, canopy bracket and coiled black cord place it firmly in the Italian Space Age moment of the early-to-mid 1970s, alongside makers like Mazzega and Vistosi.
