Slim and Useful

A 1970s Italian entrance console, the bamboo structure bound at the joints with wrapped cane and set with woven wicker (medulline) to the top and drawer fronts. At 42cm deep it sits comfortably in a hallway without crowding it, and the drawers make it a working piece rather than a purely decorative one — equally correct as a dressing table. Attributed to Bonacina; sourced in Lombardy.
