The Two Tulips
A twin-arm wall light by La Murrina, the Murano glasshouse, with polished chrome gooseneck arms rising from a rectangular backplate, each carrying a hand-worked Murano glass shade in a marbled pink-and-white tulip form with softly frilled petals. Each shade is individually blown, so no two are identical. Lit, the marbled glass glows warmly; unlit, the pair read as two pale blooms.
La Murrina, founded on Murano, is known for exactly this marriage of traditional Murano glass with sleek metal fittings. The maker's label is present on the backplate and the tulip glass shades. A pretty, characterful fixture for a bedside, hallway or dressing area.
