Murano 'Cubo' Glass Wall Light, Amber and Smoke Glass, attributed to Mazzega, Italy, c.1960s
The Cubo
A sculptural Murano glass wall light of the "Cubo" model attributed to Mazzega, the design associated with Toni Zuccheri — the Venetian house and designer behind some of the most architectural glass lighting of the 1960s. The hand-blown shade works amber and clear glass with a smoke-grey cast, so the cube reads warm or cool depending on the light in the room, mounted on a circular wall fitting. Each shade of this model was blown individually, so no two are alike.
