Murano Glass Flush Mount Ceiling Light, attributed to Leucos, Italy, c.1970s
The Amber Halo
This is a large flush-mount ceiling light in hand-blown Murano glass, made in the 1970s. The shallow dome is made of white opaline glass with fine radial ribbing that shows faintly in the light. The edge is finished with a band of clear amber glass. When the light is on, the white glass gives an even, diffused glow, and the amber rim catches warmer light around the edge.
At 40 cm across, it is well suited to a hallway, bedroom or kitchen, or to any room where a pendant would hang too low.
