Grass and Sun
A substantial, faceted block bowl in Murano sommerso glass. A green oval core is cased within a layer of warm yellow and a thick clear outer, so the colour appears suspended at the centre of the block — the effect the sommerso ("submerged") technique is prized for. The generous depth of clear glass gives the piece real weight in the hand, and the cut, polished corners lend a jewel-like quality that shifts with the light. A compact but weighty piece that works as a vide-poche, ring dish or ashtray on a desk or bedside.
