Three of a Kind, None Alike

Nicchia is an L of reclaimed Italian stone: a foot to stand something on, and a back wall to frame it. Put a bud vase, a small sculpture or a single good glass on the foot, and the back gives it a setting, the way a niche does in an old wall. It holds up books too, if that's what your shelf needs.

There are three, each cut from a different stone, and when they're gone they're gone. The first is pale and veined. The second is banded in cream and grey. The third has fine dendrites branching across it like roots: mineral traces left in the stone as it formed, not painted on.
