A pair of small hand-blown Murano vases in soft pink, each with sculptural handles, finished in the scavo technique — mineral powders and acid compounds applied during hot-working to give the glass the matte, weathered surface of excavated ancient glass, with a faint iridescent shimmer. Attributed to Seguso. At 10cm they sit beautifully as a pair on a shelf, mantel or bedside — and matched scavo pairs are not commonly found together.
