Sandoz's Penguin

A small vintage Italian ceramic jug in the form of a penguin, to the celebrated design by Édouard-Marcel Sandoz — the Swiss sculptor whose animal pitchers, produced in Italy by Richard Ginori, became icons of Art Deco tableware. Some wear consistent with age, as expected of a piece with this many decades of service. As charming in use as on a shelf.
