A sommerso (submerged) Murano glass vase in amber and blue, the two colours cased one inside the other so they read as layers suspended in the clear gather — the technique made famous by Flavio Poli's work for Seguso Vetri d'Arte. The colour and clarity are strong, and being hand-blown, the glass carries the small marks of its making. A saturated, weighty piece that holds its own on a shelf, sideboard or desk.
