Two-Handled Ceramic Jar, Green Glaze, Puglia, Italy
The Spoon Jar
A stout country jar from Puglia in a deep, glossy bottle green, with two stepped handles and a small raised flower on the side. The glaze runs darker where it pools, and the jar is heavy enough to stay put on a bench.
Keep wooden spoons by the stove in it, plant rosemary in it for the windowsill, or put a few branches in it on a sideboard.
