The Labelled LAG
A table lamp by Vetreria LAG S.r.l., Murano, the glass body blown in a teardrop form with a feathered white swirl worked into the cased glass. The bulb sits inside the body so the whole form glows a soft, milky white when lit, the swirl following the curve of the glass. It stands on a turned brass base and retains its original "vetri VM murano 004" foil label, photographed in place.
LAG's swirl lamps are a recognised mid-century Italian lighting form, and it is well suited to a console, sideboard or bedside, lit or unlit.
