Two Hooks, One Gesture

A 1960s Italian wall rack in bamboo and rattan, attributed to Vivai del Sud — the Roman studio whose bamboo furnished the most glamorous Italian interiors of the era. The rounded bamboo frame carries a dual-hook arrangement, one circular and one gently curved in natural rattan, so the piece works as sculpture on the wall even when nothing hangs from it. The cane is honey-toned and impeccably preserved, light in appearance and surprisingly durable in use. Suits an entrance, bedroom or bathroom, for coats, hats or robes.
