A 1970s Murano egg lamp hand-blown in white opal glass, the signature swirl created by spinning the molten glass at a precise angle — a technique that takes years to master. The closed ovoid form makes it as much sculpture as lamp: unlit it reads as a pale stone object; lit, the whole egg glows evenly from within. The glass is intact with a honey-toned patina and only minor surface marks from fifty years of gentle use. Suits a console, plinth, hearth or bedroom floor.
