A stunning example of Italian mid-century craftsmanship, this hand-blown Murano glass pendant light features a large spherical globe in opaline white with a characteristic mottled, spotted surface — created through the traditional macchie (spot) technique, where molten white glass is worked into the body of the globe to produce an organic, cloud-like pattern unique to each piece.

The globe is housed in brushed nickel/chrome fittings — a period-correct cap at the top and a small bell-shaped collar at the base — and suspended on its original heavy-link nickel chain. The overall effect is elegant and sculptural; the glass diffuses light beautifully, casting a soft, ambient glow with depth and warmth.

Pieces of this type are widely attributed to Venetian manufacturers of the 1960s–70s era, including Mazzega and Vistosi, who produced globe pendants of this style for the European and export markets.
