The Fazzoletto

A Murano fazzoletto — handkerchief — centrepiece bowl, the glass caught mid-fold as if dropped from the air, attributed to Fulvio Bianconi for Venini. The fazzoletto is one of the most celebrated forms in twentieth-century Venetian glass, created by Bianconi and Paolo Venini around 1949. Handcrafted in Italy; a sculptural centre for a table or sideboard.
