A large and exceptional hand-blown Murano glass flush mount by Leucos, the Venetian lighting house that produced some of the most refined glass lighting in Italy during the 1970s.

At 50cm in diameter, this is a significant piece. The form is composed of two blown glass elements — a clear lower dome that encases the light source and a white opaline upper dome that diffuses light softly upward — producing the characteristic layered quality of light that no contemporary fitting can replicate. Mounted on a white enamelled metal base with multiple bulb sockets.

The label confirms hand-blown Murano glass production. This is not a detail that needs stating on most pieces — but on a flush mount of this scale and form, it matters. Leucos pieces are held in private collections internationally and sought by designers who understand that Italian glass lighting of this period represents a genuine high point in both craft and design thinking.
