This elegant Tilos lamp represents Ernesto Gismondi’s minimalist design philosophy during Artemide’s postmodern period of the 1980s-90s. Gismondi, who founded Artemide in 1960 and served as both president and chief designer, created the Tilos as a versatile lighting solution that could function equally well as a wall sconce, ceiling fixture, or—with appropriate base—a table lamp. This Tilos lamp was designed by Ernesto Gismondi for Artemide during the 1980s-1990s in Italy.
