The Brass Bow
A cast brass trivet in the form of a tied ribbon bow, with four looped tails and a knotted centre. Raised bosses to the reverse lift it clear of the surface, allowing it to stand a hot dish, teapot or pan and protect the table beneath. The front carries a soft polished patina; the underside shows the raw casting. A neoclassical motif in the Hollywood Regency manner — decorative enough to leave out on a table or sideboard rather than tucked in a drawer.
Retailed through Art House Cortina.
