The Gucci Horsebit

A small square picture frame from Gucci's homewares line of the 1970s, when the house extended its equestrian hardware from leather goods to objects for the desk and dressing table. Brown lacquer is inlaid with two silver-plated horsebit lines — the motif Gucci has used since the 1950s — running the length of the frame. Signed Gucci.

Gucci desk objects of this era are increasingly collected, and frames are among the scarcer pieces. Well suited to a bedside table, desk or dressing table.
