Lucite Tortoiseshell

A rectangular serving tray by Fratelli Guzzini, moulded from lucite in faux tortoiseshell with integrated twin handles. The warm amber-and-umber mottling defined Guzzini's tableware of the period — the affordable Italian answer to the tortoiseshell pieces associated with Christian Dior Home. Sourced in Milan. Serves, or sits as a console centrepiece.
