The Spindle Form

A mid-century cocoon pendant designed by Friedel Wauer for Goldkant Leuchten, the German house known for its cocoon lamp designs of the 1960s and 70s. The shade is a symmetrical, spindle-like form in spun resin — the cocoon technique that traps light within its fibrous surface and releases it as a soft, diffused, atmospheric glow. Minimal in line but substantial in presence, it makes a quiet statement lit or unlit. Pairs naturally with our Wauer cocoon table lamp; suits a bedroom, stairwell or living room.
