The Cane Lanterns

A pair of Italian wall sconces in bamboo and cane, made in the 1960s or 1970s. Each has a bamboo backplate and projecting arm carrying a lantern-form shade — a bamboo frame panelled in the hexagonal cane webbing known as Vienna straw. The natural fibres give a warm, dappled light when lit. Both have been rewired, so they arrive ready for installation.

Well suited to either side of a bed, a mirror or a doorway.
