Pair of Foscarini “Gregg Piccola” Wall or Ceiling Lights, White Blown Glass, Designed by Ludovica and Roberto Palomba, Italy
The Pebble Pair
These are two “Gregg Piccola” lights by the Venetian lighting company Foscarini, designed by the Milanese architects Ludovica and Roberto Palomba. Each shade is mouth-blown glass with an acid-etched satin finish, formed into a soft, irregular oval that recalls a pebble smoothed by water. Because the shape is asymmetrical, each light reads slightly differently depending on how it is turned. Lit, the glass gives an even, warm glow with no visible hot spot. Each shade sits on a round white base and can be mounted on a wall or a ceiling.
The pair would suit either side of a bed or a mirror, a hallway, or a bathroom, where their small scale and soft light work well.
