Augustimåne — August Moon — a handwoven rölakan flatweave tapestry designed by Ingegerd Silow and produced by Axeco Svenska AB, Sweden, 1970s, retaining its original Axeco label. Silow is one of the significant names in twentieth-century Swedish textile design: Stockholm-born, trained at Konstfack and Copenhagen's Kunsthaandværkerskolen, exhibited at the National Museum in Stockholm and Liljevalchs Konsthall. Her geometric vocabulary is unmistakable, and the rölakan technique gives the piece a flat, graphic presence on the wall. At 55 × 85cm it is a generous wall work for a bedroom, hallway or above a sideboard.
