The Barbi Box
A squared decorative box in black acrylic with a green wood inlay to the lid, designed by Tommaso Barbi and made in Italy in the 1970s. Signed by the designer to the reverse. Barbi remains one of the more collected names in Italian mid-century design, and this is a scarcer variant of his acrylic box series, more commonly found with plain wood. It sits handsomely on a desk, console or dressing table, and is equally suited to jewellery, correspondence or keepsakes.
