Venini, Labelled

A vintage Murano ceiling or wall lamp by Venini, the original Venini sticker present — the house that led the twentieth-century revival of Venetian glass. The hand-blown white swirl glass diffuses light softly and evenly, mounted in a patinated white painted metal housing that lets it fix directly to a flat surface, so it serves equally as a flush ceiling light or a wall lamp.

At 30cm it suits a hallway, bathroom, bedroom or stairwell — anywhere a pendant won't fit — and being hand-blown, the glass carries small air bubbles and slight variations in the swirl, the signature of the making rather than flaws in it.
